Beneath the responsibilities and distractions of everyday activities, the deepest and most meaningful questions of our lives are seldom examined. Through the centuries, the Christian church developed ways of leading men, women, and children in tackling these big questions through the instructional model of catechesis. Join Canon Theologian Stephen Gauthier in the Loft on Sunday mornings in November, from 9:15 to 9:45 AM, as he guides us to engage these questions with Holy Scripture and the Church, using the ACNA catechism “To Be A Christian.”
NOVEMBER 1: “…our days are like grass…” Ps 103:15
What is the human condition? What is the Gospel? How does sin affect you? What is the way of death?

NOVEMBER 8: “…this poor man cried…” Ps 34:6
Can you save yourself from the way of sin and death? How does God save you? Why does God save you?

NOVEMBER 15 “…come, everyone who thirsts…” Isaiah 55:1
Who is Jesus Christ? Is there any other way of salvation? How should you respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ?

NOVEMBER 22: “…make straight in the desert a highway…” Isaiah 40:3
What does it mean for you to repent? What does it mean for you to have faith? How can you repent and put your faith in Jesus Christ? What should you do as the sign of your repentance?

NOVEMBER 29: “…a tree planted by streams of water…” Ps1:3
What does God grant in your new life in Christ? What does God desire to accomplish in your life in Christ? By what means will God transform you into the image of Jesus Christ?
